Entering

As I get ready to begin the journey towards my natal country, Argentina, I keep pondering on the question of “What does “entering” mean on a moment to moment basis?

In the northern hemisphere we are entering into spring. I am traveling to the southern hemisphere, entering fall. And yet there will be one subtle and brief moment during the Equinox where we will be in perfect balance….no separation…north and south equidistant from the Sun.

A couple of weeks ago we entered the year of the Flaming Horse in the Chinese cosmology. We also entered a potent astrological portal. I can go on and on what is “happening” around me posing invitations to ENTER, portals everywhere, and yet….

..and yet, my inquiry returns to my breath. How do I enter the next breath….and the next breath….and the next breath…
Entering the breath with wonder
Entering the breath with reverence
Entering breath with no agenda
Entering the breath with curiosity
Entering the breath with playfulness?
Being in a body offers me unending possibilities to keep “entering” my life anew with each breath while on this plane.

Emilie Conrad, founder of Continuum and my mentor until her last breath writes:

"As each one of us enters into the stream of intelligence that moves
through our cells and every liquid part of us, our consciousness is merged
with pulsating nectar and we are bathed with the story of the stars."
~ Emilie Conrad, Life on Land, p. xxix

Indeed…the story of the stars is my own story, no separation. I know it and I forget it very often. I narrow my perception to the edges of my skin and forget the larger “house of belonging” (to use poet David Whyte’s language).
For me, to remember and enter the pulsating nectar Emilie talks about, requires time and space.

Time set aside to slow down and not give into distractions.
Time to reconnect with my breath, allowing it to become audible, and thus vibrating open any places of constriction.
Tine to listen deeply to the stream of intelligence that moves through my cells.
Time to discover the movement and choreography of every liquid part of me.
Time to move unencumbered as a newborn, discovering sensations of playfulness and joy, being fully engaged as I move.
Time to rest and harvest the whispers of my discoveries.
Time to integrate and bring my new awarenesses into my daily life.
AND….a sacred space in community. A space where fellow explorers dive deep into their own thread of inquiry in a virtual circle of global support. A sacred space where we welcome each other and witness the joys and sorrows that make us human.

If you are curious and would like to ENTER into your every breath and movement more fully, I invite you to join me and a group of committed and experienced practitioners during the month of April.

My aspiration is to open a fertile space for exploration.
My aspiration is to share my own practice, my own edge as I continue to make Continuum the way I am in the world.
My aspiration is to provide a safe space so we can, together, access the pulsating nectar and be bathed with the story of the stars.

Hope to see you in April!

Cordialmente,
Marcella
